I apologise for this uninspired/uninspiring title of this post, but it's very hot for this time of day and month, and I'm just trying to manage. Thank you for your understanding. Anyway, the following photos capture some of plants which are currently growing in our greenhouse. I have already seen it fuller, but I am in awe of the Head Gardener's dedication - without which we would not have so many nice flowers, vegetables and herbs.

Of course, some of these plants I only rediscover again outside the greenhouse, in the garden, but other plants I even pay a weekly visit to. The slightly blurry photo (sorry) to the right, shows the first shoots of our first attempt to grow
cucamelons from seed. I do sincerely hope that we get at least a couple of plants and then 'fruits' of this labour of love, as at least 2 of our cucumber plants this year have died already - this year I did have nothing to do with this plant's death. I'm also intrigued by how cucamelons will taste. Otherwise, I'm also looking forward to having our own supplies of cherry tomatoes - even though this is a yearly reward for all the Head Gardener's hard work, it hasn't failed to appeal to me. I believe that we have 1 or 2 more plants this year than in previous years. Some grown-from-seeds plants, as
the beans, have already been planted.
