Less "ornament", more fruit! Part 2

Top bit of the garden in summer 2013

Finally, I'm getting back to you about having less "ornament" in the garden, and more fruit! This is part 2, and shows you how the top bit of the garden had a horrible conifer tree in it, and how we removed this over the winter and early spring. Once the actual fruit bush in there has grown (you can hardly see it at the moment!) it will look better and be more useful (as there will be fruit, not just a green conifer thingy!). Removing this small conifer tree took quite a bit of time, as it was very cold and windy, and some of the roots really went much further away from the actual tree. Memo to self: 'don't plan to remove trees or shrubs when it's cold and windy.'
Spring 2014: spot without conifer tree, and if you look carefully, a fruit bush
