Not to palm something off, but maybe giving things away

There are many genderist theories or just stereotypes. One of them is: men don't read instructions, but just start doing things and see what works; women read instructions and tread more carefully. Well, not to prove this wrong, but I have consulted the Royal Horticultural Society Propagating Plants [ISBN 9781405315258] and followed the instructions for
a) how to cut a palm tree (indoor house plant at the moment), and
b) how to propagate from these cuts.

Whereas some of the instructions in this book seem complicated, following the method described here was very easy. However, I was fairly sceptical and so were some visitors who saw the black tray with the small "palm stumps". However, after months and months (admittedly I neglected to look after these "palm stumps") the results are encouragingly and beautiful (I think).

If you look closely at the tray, you can see that at least one further stump has a little green shoot. Two out of five, so far, ain't bad, eh? The idea is to keep one of these new, little palm trees, and if you are interested, I am happy to give the others away. Expressions of interest taken now.
