

As you can see here, the new cornus and acer trees are settling in nicely...

I spent half an hour surrounding our veg beds with copper tape like this, in the hope of keeping the damned slugs and snails off this year. Hope springs eternal....
And the broccoli is still going strong. I wish it would hurry up as I need to get this year's shallots into the same bed!

The seedlings are coming on okay, although the cucumbers, aubergines and tomatoes got a bit of a shock after I pricked them out last weekend and then left them in the not-particularly-warm greenhouse. They've been sulking a bit but I'm hoping they'll recover! The peas I planted a couple of weeks ago are going bananas, and I will plant them out tomorrow, once I've made the latest version of my pea-supporting contraption. And then I'll be sowing more peas, and sweetcorn :-)
