Okay, okay... this should really not be the norm now, but again: another entry from the sub-head gardener... And in the popular series of men and flowers, here are our red tulips:
Okay. Maybe not as spectacular as a lot of gardens and plants, but hey can we just be biased this once, and believe that these are the most beautiful, red tulips there are? (It's almost like almost every "new" parents thinking that their newborn baby is the most beautiful of all, innit?) Anyway...

These peas, were planted about 10 days ago... First grown from seedlings (see for an example of how C grows her seedlings). Then kept in our greenhouse for a couple of weeks, and now planted out. Also, to the right of these peas, we just took out all the kale and sprouting broccoli plants and put in the shallots (bought the bulbs - since you asked). So that these two raised beds look like this:

The green shots in the front are garlic plants. We are still eating last year's harvest of garlic... I hope that we will have eaten last year's supply before the new garlic will be harvested... Did I mention already that some of my ancestors are from Transylvania? Anyway, even after 3 years of growing garlic and other vegetables it is still hard to get the quantities right for some of them - on the other hand... last year's parsnip harvest was very bad, and we only had a couple (but that was due to the weather, I keep assuring the Head Gardener).
Anyway, if you have any requests of which photos of our plants you would like to see here, please let us know. Otherwise, we will just continue in the unsystematic, rambling way as we have been so far. :-)
