finally doing some gardening again

We haven't posted much recently because we haven't done much in the garden recently. May has been really insanely busy, so apart from doing essential jobs like watering, I haven't done much and the weeds are getting out of control....:-(  This weekend we've managed to catch up a bit though, and got at least some weeding done. The pics are of some nice yellow iris thingies which are in full bloom at the moment, and a profusion of erigeron.

Otherwise, veggies are coming on nicely: the peas are growing like mad, while the sweetcorn, scorzonera, carrots, shallots and garlics are not growing quite so madly, but still plodding along nicely. The tomatoes and aubergines are now in greenhouse growbags, while plenty of other things are growing on in pots. The cherry tree is producing some cherries for the first time this year and they are beginning to turn red, so watch this space for when we pick the first one!!
